BI.Zone ZTNA has confirmed compatibility with Astra Linux 1.7.6 and later. For companies where Windows, Ubuntu and Astra work side by side it means uniform zero-trust remote access rules without exceptions for individual machines.
What ZTNA is and how it differs from VPN
A classic VPN lets a user into the whole network: once connected you see everything your rights reach. ZTNA, Zero Trust Network Access, verifies the user's identity and the device's state before every connection and opens a tunnel only to the segments a given role needs. A compromised laptop reaches one service, not the entire network.
The principle 'access to a segment, not to the network' applies to websites too: a contractor gets the staging environment and the repository, not the whole production server. Exceptions in access policy always turn into holes.
What the BI.Zone ZTNA client does
The Astra Linux client is fully featured: device compliance checks before connecting, role-based access policies, multi-factor authentication and a secure tunnel over the Ru-WireGuard protocol.
